Quick answer

What do I agree to when I rent a number?

You rent the use of a phone number that receives SMS for 7, 30 or 90 days, paid in crypto from a prepaid balance. The number is not transferred to you, may be reassigned after the end date, and must be used under the acceptable use policy. Terms dated 18 October 2026.

1. The service

KeepANumber rents the use of virtual phone numbers that receive SMS, for a period chosen at order time. Received SMS are shown in your account. Numbers do not make calls or send SMS. We do not guarantee that a third-party service will accept or send texts to a given number.

2. Your account

You need an email address and a password. Keep them safe: anyone with your login can read your rentals. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars and shown on the pricing page. You top up a balance in crypto, minimum $10, and rentals are paid from it. The price of a rental is fixed when you pay it. Your wallet pays the network fees.

4. Rentals, renewals and end of rental

A rental runs from activation for the period paid. You can renew before the end date to keep the same number. After the end date the number is no longer reserved for you and may be rented to someone else. Nothing renews automatically.

5. Refunds

Credits back to your balance follow the refund policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to the acceptable use policy. We may close a rental or an account that breaks it.

7. Limits

SMS delivery depends on networks and senders outside our control. To the extent the law allows, our liability for a rental is limited to its price.

8. Changes and contact

We date every version of these terms on this page. Questions: [email protected].
