What is KeepANumber?
KeepANumber is a long-term rental provider of virtual phone numbers for receiving SMS, paid in crypto with no ID upload. It rents numbers from 14 countries for 7, 30 or 90 days, from $8.50, as of October 2026. Customers read the SMS in an online dashboard and renew to keep the same number.
What we do
KeepANumber is a long-term rental provider of virtual phone numbers for receiving SMS, paid in crypto with no ID upload. We built it around one idea: a number you give to a service should still be yours when that service texts you again. So we rent numbers by the week, the month or the quarter, not by the minute.
What we do not do
- We do not make calls or send SMS: numbers receive texts.
- We do not promise that a service will accept a virtual number.
- We do not ask for ID documents or selfies, and we do not promise secrecy either: we keep the records described in the privacy policy.
- We do not help anyone get around a service's rules: see the acceptable use policy.
How we write this site
Every country page gives the calling code, the number format, the regulator and the prepaid SIM rule, with a source we read. Comparisons name the services compared, the date we read their pages and the link. Our own figures are dated. When something changes, we change the page and its date.

What we will publish next
Pages per service and country, such as the delivery rate of a given service's texts on numbers of a given country, only when we have our own measured data with its date and sample size. Until then we publish no acceptance list and no success rate. The price index is updated monthly.
